Coach Holidays to Wexford

A fantastic selection of short breaks & holidays to Wexford by coach

Spend time in beautiful Wexford in the southeast of Ireland, a town which reportedly has the most sunshine hours and the least rain in the country.

With over 250km of stunning coastline, County Wexford is known for its award-winning golden beaches which are some of the very best in Ireland.

Step back in time and wander the winding medieval streets in this Viking town. Discover some of Wexford’s interesting buildings, including the well-preserved Westgate Tower, a medieval gateway close to the grounds of the Sleskar Abbey. Explore the Church of St. Iberius, designed by Waterford’s renowned architect John Roberts in a late-Georgian style. Take a stroll by the River Slaney and admire the colourful buildings which are dotted along the water’s edge.

Wexford is also known for its famous opera festival, which takes place in the National Opera House, a world-class venue in the heart of the town. The first event was held in October 1951 and today it’s one of the world’s leading opera festivals.

Rich in history and with many attractions, this coastal town is well worth a visit.

Our coach holidays visiting Wexford include hotel accommodation on a bed & breakfast or dinner, bed & breakfast basis, along with excursions to local places of interest.

Waterford - The oldest city in Ireland, its landmark is the oldest building in the country and a nod to its Viking past - Reginald’s Tower. It's pretty here, and although known for its history, it's a contemporary and lively place!

Wexford - In Ireland’s ‘Ancient East’ (an area named for its large number of historic attractions) the coastal town sits at the mouth of the River Slaney – and has a pretty array of colourful buildings dotted around the harbour and water’s edge.

Kilmore - A quaint village in the beautiful County of Wexford, on the South East coast of Ireland - it's got all the essentials: a chemist, a post office, a grocery store/newsagent - and two pubs!

Kilkenny - One of Ireland’s most cosmopolitan cities, here you'll find extensive eateries, attractions and events. But it’s also situated at the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East and is the country’s best-preserved Medieval city.

The Rock of Cashel - One of Ireland's most visited tourist attractions, the unique rock looms over the Golden Vale at the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East – and features the most impressive cluster of medieval buildings in the country.
