Since its launch in 1949, the Edinburgh Tattoo has developed into one of the world’s most iconic events, attracting an annual worldwide television audience of over 100 million and thousands of visitors to Scotland every year.

The thrilling 100-minute spectacle celebrates different cultures in a show-stopping event that’s packed with action, colour and edge-of-your-seat excitement from start to finish. Take your seat early to soak up the magical atmosphere, incredible setting and buzz of excitement. The start of the show is a sight to behold as the castle doors open to reveal the incredible sight of the opening procession from the Massed Pipes and Drums and the Massed Military Bands. Marvel at the formations and admire the timing and precision as the band marches across the drawbridge and into the arena whilst performing rousing battle tunes from Scotland’s military regiments.
