Cirque Du Soleil

Cirque Du Soleil

Cirque Du Soleil is the world’s biggest and best known circus institution.

Founded in 1984, the troupe has matured from a group of Montreal street artists into the world’s biggest entertainment company.

During four decades of performance the circus troupe has wowed millions of people throughout the world with a thrilling combination of elegance, beauty and death-defying tricks that will excite, blow your mind and jangle your nerves in equal measures.

Following a successful premiere of its new show and 33rd production Amaluna, which left audiences enthralled, Cirque Du Soleil is returning again due to overwhelming demand with new shows in London and Manchester.

Directed by Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus, Amaluna is an extravagant production described as a celebration of love and a tribute to the strength of women.

The performance is based loosely on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. It will transport you on a magical journey to a mysterious island ruled by goddesses and directed by the cycles of the moon.

When a storm caused by their queen, Prospera, hits the island it brings many changes with it, fuelling a captivating love story between her daughter Miranda and a brave young suitor.

Whilst the narrative is a nice sub plot, it’s the exhilarating talents of the performers polished off with sensational choreography and lavish costumes that take centre stage and will leave a lasting impression.

Expect to see everything from contortions, aerial wizardry and extreme stunts you should never try at home!
