The National Space Centre by Coach
If your children have ever dreamed of being the next Tim Peake, you can make their dreams a reality by blasting off to the National Space Centre.
A thrilling day out, the centre is one of the UK’s top family attractions with over 150 unique challenges and interactive fun to spark your imagination.
Follow in the footsteps of some of the world’s most famous astronauts in Into Space. Walk through a replica of the Columbus Module from the International Space Station, and come face to face with astronauts and special artefacts, including a spacesuit made for dogs, as you prepare for your journey into space.
Before jetting off you will have to find out your assigned job in Tranquillity Base. Join the All Earth Space Agency and learn the ropes before heading off on a journey to Jupiter’s moon on a thrilling simulator ride past meteorite showers and an ice canyon. Make sure you get a souvenir photo as you carry out your own moon walk!
Afterwards head to Planetarium ‘space theatre’, the UK’s largest 360 degree full-dome cinema experience, and explore the galaxy during an award-winning show featuring state-of-the-art special effects.
Finally, complete your trip by heading to the Rocket Tower. Pretend to be mission control as you get close to two authentic rockets, Blue Streak and Thor Able, and see them periodically ‘take off’.
Pilot the’Eagle’ on the moon’s surface and see the last piece of genuine Moon Rock brought to Earth.
A blast from start to finish!
