Coach holidays to Poland
The cities of Poland offer a great insight in to the cultural heritage of this country and are well worth visiting for a truly unique coach holiday.
The country’s capital city Warsaw is a wonderful city which was totally destroyed during World War II but has been rebuilt and now enjoys a vibrant cosmopolitan appeal. The reconstruction of pastel coloured buildings around Royal Castle Square give the town an old feel and sit perfectly with the last remaining baroque buildings.
In contrast to Warsaw, the medieval city of Krakow was virtually untouched during the war, and subsequently, the original Renaissance architecture remains in all of its glory. On a visit to Krakow you can visit Cloth Hall, St Mary’s Church, Wawel Castle and the Wieliczka Salt Mines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which produced salt from the 13th century until 2007. Although there’s a cosmopolitan feel to Poland nowadays, a coach trip to the infamous concentration camp Auschwitz provides a chilling reminder of its not too distant history.
